Where: Yen Sid's tower
[once upon a time, there were two boys.]
[one of them was a Keyblade master. the other made an honest effort during the Mark of Mastery exam to see if he could be a master, too, but he only got by with the support of his friends — particularly the aforementioned Keyblade master.]
[still, war looms ahead of them — there's still much to be done. it's been another hard day of training, and though neither of them are too worse for the wear, a few potions and ethers couldn't hurt. that's why Sora and Riku are at the top of the tower, while Sora rummages through random drawers and cabinets, searching a bit fruitlessly.]
Oh, come on! There's gotta be something around here... [said with a touch of frustration and a dash of exhaustion. also, spare wands might be flying.]

006 — CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE

CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE:
# 1. Off in the corner of a bright walkway leading down to an equally cheery town stuffed to the brim with ice cream and festivals is a small alleyway enclosed by the shadows. Approaching the shadows sparks the attention of a small group of zippy, floating Unversed that, when hit, drop cake and sandwiches for some inexplicable reason. Steal someone else's snacks at your own risk.
# 2. In a clearing in a meadow near a probably dead princess' castle, a helmeted boy stands next to a dragon — not the evil fairy who'd been plaguing the world earlier, this one looks like another Unversed, and even on lowered haunches it's about five times the boy's size. Again, approach at your own risk.
# 3. Choose your own scenario away we go!
005 -- stay where you are

[there is not a lot to tell about this particular mess Vanitas has gotten himself into. all he knows is that he has somehow managed to get stuck in a world: his Corridors just lead him to the underside of a faucet on a wall in a room where gravity makes no sense (or has any).]
[there are monsters here, too. that moment in time where he'd been wrenched from Ventus' heart is fuzzy at best and a blur at worst, but when presented with one, he wouldn't ever forget what a Heartless looks like.]
[there is a clearing with a long dining table and a row of mismatched chairs, and Vanitas, weary from fighting and frustration, has plopped himself down in a plush armchair. and no, he won't have any tea, thank you very much!]

What: A Gummi ship trip goes awry and leaves two Keybearers stranded on a certain jungle world. KAIRI WILL SAVE THE DAY.
Where: Deep Jungle
When: Post-KH2, certainly
[WHEN WE LAST LEFT OUR HEROES, a sudden Heartless attack had left their faithful ship a wee bit melted. luckily, Sora is really good at squishing Gummi blocks together, and Kairi is really good at keeping the ship steady.]
[hopefully. the horrible metallic groaning noises coming from somewhere beneath the ship's controls probably aren't a good sign.]

[Pretty average night for Trish really; after promising not to run off with the Sparda again and swearing she didn't know of any other cults with a vested interest in using it, Dante had let her take it out to go crazy on something that had been supposedly hassling a warehouse. She'd got to the job, been disappointed to find one measly Sin Scissor. She'd done the job, got paid, and now she was prowling the streets looking for action.
And then she heard the familiar snarl of a Shadow.]

[you know, Vanitas can't remember much about the days and moments before he left Siren's Port-- nor can he particularly remember much about it at all, save for a few familiar faces and voices.]
[one thing he does remember, however, is his penchant for a certain type of food, of the empanada persuasion. that's why he's slunk out of whatever hole he was hiding in to the closest restaurant that serves them.]
[the glass door slams behind him as he leaves with his prize in hand, pulling away the wrapping and foil to his lunch, content as a dark creature like him is capable of being.]
