[you know, Vanitas can't remember much about the days and moments before he left Siren's Port-- nor can he particularly remember much about it at all, save for a few familiar faces and voices.]

[one thing he does remember, however, is his penchant for a certain type of food, of the empanada persuasion. that's why he's slunk out of whatever hole he was hiding in to the closest restaurant that serves them.]

[the glass door slams behind him as he leaves with his prize in hand, pulling away the wrapping and foil to his lunch, content as a dark creature like him is capable of being.]

[Scooting faster!! For a few seconds, at least, until she realizes how futile that is and stands up, walking away from him as quickly as can be. The way she's walking is nervous, almost mechanical; her legs swing forward stiffly, oddly reminiscent of a robot.]

[RUDE. Well then, if it's pointless, she's just going to turn around quickly and stop in her tracks to face him. This is probably a ridiculously idiotic move, but hey, this is the girl who dove in the way of a sword with nothing but a fan in her hand. Her life hasn't exactly been a series of good decisions.]

[oh, Vanitas has no doubts about this, considering the way she just tried to freight train into him. it was about as effective as this, though.]

If you can't replace what you ruined, then I get to choose your punishment.

[HOLDING HIS HAND WITH THE DEAD EMPANADA REMAINS STILL ON THEM TOWARD YOUR FACE, AHIRU.]

Because it's disgusting! You shouldn't eat things like that! You really, really shouldn't, so I was going to throw it away! [ Or take it somewhere and give it a proper burial. :'( ]

[Vanitas would be even more weirded out if he saw Ahiru holding a funeral for what's left of the empanada.]

I don't have anything against them, that's why you shouldn't it! They're living and breathing and they shouldn't have to die just so you can have lunch!
